This work is informed by the field of biosemiotics. There’s a sense of language moving across and through species, where bees act as linguistic elements and musical notes patterned on drawings of bee-flight used in communicating flower location to the hive transposed into text forms and drawings

Sources: performance collaboration with an ethno-musicologist, musicians and a bee-keeper using trumpet, piano, accordion, cello, toy piano, melodica, tonkori, live and recorded voice, electronic music, and video.

Working towards a lexicology of the Open.

How precarious and precious our woven lives are.

"Meredith Stricker’s Anemochore is an extraordinary, literal plummet down the page, a disorienting space as generous to falling with a poem as it is to let it buoy up the holiness of surrendering to the space for ourselves in the poem."
